This is interesting, if you added a graphical speed indicator for each, that both could see, would the rat become competitive? It has nothing else to do in its little cage. Could it figure out the correlation.
Ha! I just noticed that literally EVERYONE in this strip wears glasses! People, babies, ANIMALS… everyone! Is that because the artist can’t draw eyes…or is it some running gag? …or perhaps a social commentary on our myopic times?

I don’t understand why people who think they need to exercise don’t do some useful work, instead of just creating excess heat the earth doesn’t need.
