Did Vezmar’s date think “Guaridans” would be a lame film? (WAAAAAAAAAY too much time on Monsieur Préau’s hands.)

Live music 24 hours a day. Would that be the opposite of dead music?

Why did the girl text during the film when she knew it’s a no-no?

What if you had a party line. This term should confuse many.

If I was sitting in the seat behind her I would have told her to turn it off it is very distracting for us behind her. Then I’d go to the lobby and report her if she refused. In our theaters there is a message before the main movie starts on how lawful it is and what the penalties are.

2-3 hours a night for 4 years to get a picture of a rodent? There’s government money involved here.

I doubt any judge would’ve made her pay for the ticket. They didn’t enter into any contract and it was assumed by both parties that he would pay for the date. You can’t give a gift then try to make it into a loan later on. That’s basically what he was doing by making her pay for her ticket due to a “bad date”. If a judge gave him the money, that would’ve set a dangerous precedent, “bad date? then sue to get your money back!”. Nope.
