Europeans wouldn’t put up with the way we’re being treated by airlines. Instead of demanding the government do something, we need to hit United, Delta, American and other carriers in the wallets until we’re treated right.
OK. For the last couple of weeks I haven’t been able to see any of the political cartoons. I’ve written to GoComics, and they haven’t been able to solve the problem. Hate to say it, but the price you pay for a economy ticket is cheaper than a bus or train ride. Basically you get what you pay for. The business class and first class tickets run about what they did, after adjusting for inflation, before deregulation. The people who ride economy class, a lot of them, would be the bus and train passengers of yesterday. Airline travel is nothing like it was prior to 1978.
@BWR Sorry, in Trump’s US, the approved method of dealing with abusive corporate airlines is to give them complete control of air travel by privatizing the ATC and putting airline executives in charge.
