He knows better than to say anything about a new hairstyle! There is nothing he can say that won’t turn into an argument!
I generally wear my hair in a way that pleases my husband. I can’t see it, but he can.
If Joe says he likes the new, that implies he didn’t like the old.
If he says he prefers the old, that implies he isn’t happy with the love of his life.
(Or that is how some take it. Pitfalls abound. Tread carefully.)
