Interesting mix of technology. A hand pump on a motorized fire engine. Considering what’s on the top floor (where the rats are) I’m surprised the Fire Engine doesn’t have a motorized pump.

The brawl between the wolves and the police is still going on in the last panel…

Did you notice the pile of injured and knocked out wolves in the last panel?

Interesting!! Meanwhile in background on panel four the police are still opening those cans of whoop ass…….better than beans.XD. I am loving EFD!! The old mixed with new….I am wonder if the truck has pedals for locomotion….like the old pedal FD truck I had when I was a kid. It had a pump handle on the back. I could pump and spray water with the litte hose.

Food for thought, the front of the fire engine says “EFD”, why the E? what other community other than Endtown would be answering the call to a fire?

Meanwhile, the police continue cracking heads.

Which of the wolves used to be black? Which used to be white? Or Japanese, or Chinese, or Indian? Or the equivalents on this world? They’re not black or white or yellow or tan any more… They’re wolves. This shows how arbitrary race conflicts are, when a biological agent can change your race in your sleep and your alliances. People are more likely to ally with those who are like themselves, maybe because they feel those people are projections of themselves and have the same ends.

I hope they caught the one that started the fire. Let’s see if Miss Piggy, Attorney at Law will come to his defense…

I sure hope that’s goundwater they’re sucking up thru that manhole to spray on the fire, and not sewage.

What I’m wondering is whether the community is sealed from the outside. Are there scrubbers to remove the smoke? Conduits to safely channel the smoke away from the community? Though presumably Topsiders would still notice the smoke from a remote vent and trace it to its source. Now I’m wondering whether this is Endtown’s first fire. Probably not since accidents happen along with arson.

Oh great. Now they have to wash the ceiling… ;-)
