But maybe it’s the ghost who is losing the things in the first place. There are a few things that I have been looking for for months now and can’t find. I swear I put them “someplace where I’ll be sure to find it when I need it”, but now I have no idea where that place is. Could it be that a ghost is hiding it someplace?

I always blame missing items on the Borrowers.

Check your credit cards. Maybe the ghost has run up some charges.

That happens to my wife all the time. She’ll lose something, swear someone ( me ? ) must have taken it, only to have it turn up later in some unlikely place. Then, she thinks I put it there, no matter how much I honestly protest that I didn’t.

Our ghost has a sense of humor. Hammer in the toilet tank, newly hung curtains taken down and folded. He has done numerous other things as well. If the chickens are not let out by 5 am he will open the gate.

Everybody needs a friendly ghost.
