I was walking my chihuahua and papillon in the dark on the golf course behind my house. They both have a lot of white fur so they are easy to see. We had been walking at a brisk pace when they suddenly stopped. Wondering what they were up to I turned on my flashlight. They were less than a foot away from a skunk. The skunk and the dogs where looking at each other, just checking each other out. I ran off and called the dogs. They followed me. One of the reasons I don’t think they got sprayed was both dogs have a white stripe right up the middle of there foreheads like a skunk. I figured the skunk was thinking, man, these are the ugliest skunks I have ever seen.
