Thunderstorms? You lucky thing! I love the sound of thunder but it’s the lightning I don’t like. I once woke up (not by choice) at around 4:50am and the rain was so loud against my window and next thing I saw was flashes of light. I always hide under my bedcovers when it’s lightening. Haha.
I have been enrolled on a pension scheme by my workplace. Anybody who is 22 or over is automatically enrolled. Apparently my retirement date is 16th December, 2062. I will be 68. It’s so scary thinking forward. I’ve even had to think of a few people who will get a share of my money put in my “retirement pot” in case I pass away suddenly. Am I wrong in thinking it’s ridiculous thinking that far forward? It’s not like I have a crystal ball. Nobody knows what will happen in the future. It works by my employer taking 1% of my wages to put towards my retirement fund. Next year it will be 2% and so on. I think that is a great idea but it’s having to think so far forward NOW that gets me.
I can opt out of this any time I want but I’m choosing to stay in. Hopefully I’ll end up being one of those rich pensioners who goes on cruises all the time. One can dream…
I am now on my week’s holiday from work. Back on 15th May.
Still thinking about you. Have a great weekend! I certainly will.

It’s a smart choice. The cue sticks make for ready stakes.

Yes, right next to the wine cellar.

Oh sure, go hide under the pool table…in the dark. Vampires just love that.

Oh, come ON!!! Who keeps a pool table in their library?? Talk about unrealistic!
GROG Premium Member almost 7 years ago
It all depends on what you use your library for. I’d put a bowling alley in mine…if I had a library.

Or behind the 60 inch tv set.

It would have been great if we could have actually seen INSIDE of Snoopy’s kennel.
But I guess using our imaginations is better…
