Another example of working harder not to do the right thing than doing the right thing.

Ye-e-ep. This is why every parent needs to have a spare blender. So they can drop their kid’s smartphone into it, and hit “puree.”

And then go to Washington, and drop you-know-who into it, and hit…

Amazing that Danae doesn’t get any hairbrush spankings from her dad over her behavior.

This would be like Trump forming the commission to investigate him and his minions—but why not cut out the middle man? Can you imagine how much fun Joseph Heller would have with the insanity of pretty much every member of Trump’s team (and half of Congress)?

Actually, a number of my son’s teachers recounted in later years how he had forced them to realize kids are also individuals, not from cookie cutters, and a mutual respect, rather than dominance, was the key to education for many kids who don’t fit the mold, like the very intelligent ones who indeed do march to different drummers.

Speaking of headless Barbies, how ’bout a headless, naked Barbie band?

[They really are a terrific band!]

“… what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.”- Thomas Jefferson

[ One ] means of silently lessening the inequality of property is to exempt all from taxation below a certain point, and to tax the higher portions of property in geometrical progression as they rise.” — Thomas Jefferson to James Madison, October 18, 1785.

“Sir, I am an aristocrat. I love liberty, I hate equality.” — John Randolph of Roanoke (1733-1833).

“… a social system which year by year witnesses the increase of the pauper class, and the increase of their miseries, stands condemned before the tribunal of … justice, how long will it take before that is understood and taken to heart?”~ Felix Adler, Creed and Deed, 1880
