Just like my old man. Took me years to realise he was hiding behind the blaring TV, using it to shut out everyone around him.
Much like Suga Mama from Disney’s The Proud Family. Anytime a family member turns off the TV, she wakes up and say “Hey, I was watching that!”
Ha! That is totally my mom! Same thing happens if you try to change the channel, turn down the volume, etc.
Use the pillows over the old man’s face… hah hah, just joking!
Buni should try ‘counter programming’. Get his own TV, set it to a program he likes, and blast the volume…
