I did not want to see Obama get to nominate another Supreme Court Justice given his activist and left leaning bent. Gorsuch will be a Good Conservative Justice who interprets the Constitution and doesn’t make stuff up out of whole cloth to appease the whining masses.
With any luck, Trump will get another one or two Justices to replace before his term is over :)
Who cares what people on that ribbon think, he has to get past the Democrats that are actually in the Senate. I hope they give him as much of a chance as past judges have been given.
There were 8 years of obstructionism by the party of “No” in between those dates, and it is fun to see the Gops and Trumpets cry foul for spitting it back at them.
The ribbon shows 2006 as the year of approval, it doesn’t say what he was approved for and ignores that many people change greatly over an 11 year span of time.

ah Ms Benson, you’d be fair and balanced if you’d included Garland with the same ribbon slumped by the same door saying, ‘They wouldn’t let me in’

Conservatives believe THE PEOPLE should create and approve the laws they will live under. Libs believe 5 lawyers in DC should dictate them.

His confirmation was a voice vote. Why do Republicans insist on lying?
Answer: Because it’s effective. Other Republicans believe the lies.Honesty and integrity have no place in Republican politics or policies.

Conservatives believe THE PEOPLE should create and approve the laws they will live under. Libs believe 5 lawyers in DC should dictate them.
Real Conservatives may indeed believe that.
But the so-called ‘conservatives’ that are Republicans believe that CORPORATIONS should create and approve the laws that people live under.
They believe that CORPORATIONS ARE PEOPLE and are more equal than people that are not corporations.
