The economy has been global for some time now and there are few nations that have the resources to function independently. I don’t think the US has the skilled labor force to thrive on its own and disrupting sectors of the economy that depend on global supply chains and workers trained in current technology will not help the US economy.

That welcome mat should not have any conditions if we really believe in free trade. We have an internal employment problem for medium skilled males that has been neglected by the political parties for decades and has resulted in a non-establishment president being elected. This would be a good time for the parties to work together for the people to make sure the new president has meaningful legislation to sign into law.

We need to make our work force capable of doing the jobs that we now have to import foreign workers to do. We have to eliminate the lack of cooperation between urban and rural areas in employment and improve our roads so that they are not isolated from each other. There should not be a them and us in regards to employment in urban and rural. Most Americans learned about sharing before first grade … we should stop the parties from choosing candidates who never learned that.

We used to get plenty of rah-rah propaganda from Hollywood about how we’re all really alike, city and country, but now the country folks hate Hollywood (while subscribing to a nostalgic view of our past that Hollywood pushed for decades).

I always find it hilarious/depressing when Reich wingers go on and on about how much they love America, while simultaneously saying that they hate Liberals and want them to die.

If you hate 45% of America’s population so much, you really should reconsider who’s actually “anti-American”

As both a President and a human, tRump sucks! He conveniently forgets that we are all descended from immigrants…..including him. I am also certain the early settlers did not get their papers in order before entering the country.

As long as you want to be a LEGAL immigrant and desire to adapt to American culture, don’t expect handouts, and don’t expect us to cater to YOU!
