So far, so good.

I noticed that too, but I wonder what it will look like in the morning.

It’s 1:45 in the morning here in the Midwest I hope the format does not suddenly change in the middle of my fun looking at comics and reading all the comments. I will be going to bed before long. i hope it doesn’t look different when I get up in the morning. Why do they think they have to change anyway? They certainly could not have gotten that idea from us!

Someone got up, if only for just a moment.

Its after 6:00 on the west coast.

Nothing new yet.

I wonder how long they will be off line for the changeover.

Frankie comics is back! We got a whole inch of beautiful snow yesterday but it melted overnight with a warm rain. No flooding in my area, but a few hours north the damage is huge.

I placed four cute and funny cat videos in the Bob Wharton timeline on Facebook for those of you able to view them. Enjoy. There are only five cat pictures from my sources worth sharing today on the Ten Cat Fan Club page on Facebook.

If Gocomics has changed as of 9:45 am EST, I can’t find any changes.

Seems the comments are caught up to Friday’s strips

I didn’t bother checking the beta site and I’m glad I didn’t get my blood pressure up any worse than it was. Definitely do not like this new format and I’ve found a lot of my comics aren’t showing up – they’re not Sherpa, just broken pic’s. Grrrr!!!!!

Everything is BIG!..Not sure what to think of it. My comics seem to all be there. Has anyone tried to post a pic yet? I will check back later. Calif is almost underwater..it has rained for about 24 hours here. We are not used to this much rain all at once. Our annual total is barely 5 inches..so the small streams are flooded..so far the cats are ok. I have their beds and shelters up so they should be ok. Stay dry everyone!

Site has changed over, I’ve lost all the Sherpa strips I had on my ‘My Comics’ page, they’ve even disappeared from the emails. Does anybody know where the Sherpa listings are? It’s not obvious to me :-(

Just tried to post a picture, the result is a big ‘NO’

Trying to compile my 3 separate comic lists all into one. Slow response, but it could be that the System at GoComics is bogging down with everyone making changes. I’ve changed my User Name back to the current one (BaconBoyCamper). Tried a couple of different formats for posting pictures, looks like it remained the same from the previous “update”, where you have to high-lite the link and then right-click to go…

I made my changes yesterday. Finding the site pretty easy to navigate (even the comments) maybe because I’ve been practicing.

Good grief! You have to sign in each time you make a comment on EVERY comic?

I’m gonna miss you guys……………….

Seriously, the one thing I don’t like is no zoom feature, I had to use the mag glass to read a couple of comics. I know they are bigger when you click on them, but I usually don’t comment on every one I have.

This one is definitely more time consuming.

Whoa, what happened to my avatar name? How do I get it back? (last Rose of Summer)?

I tried navigating the new site yesterday….that small bit of practice was all it took. Have successfully listed all but 2 (GIRTH + SMITH) onto MY FAVORITES page. I assume those 2 are from Sherpa and will have to wait for someone to show me the way how to find them…unless I get lucky. This is the only strip I’ve left a comment on. Like anything new it’s takes some getting used to. Miss the old format with pictures. Having them on this site would be so wonderful.

I always go back a day and read the rest of the comments I missed. So we don’t have the comments from yesterday now? It was bad enough to have the pictures I always loved to see taken away. I’m not crazy about this, putting it mildly.

This page looks like a 10th grade high school project.

Looks like all the comments have caught up now.

If you’re logged in, go to My Profile and you’ll see a list on the left of all your saved comics. This helps…so far. Wish they just had a Next button to we could avoid toggling back and forth among the pages.

Oh my gosh, I HATE this! Where did my avatar and avatar name go? I thought nothing they did to this site would keep me from coming back, but now I’m having second thoughts. too many hoops to jump through! I want to see my home page with all my favorite comics all together like it was before! This new site is so STUPID! I HATE, HATE, HATE IT!!!!

I had a lot of trouble getting signed in just now. And when I looked at my earlier comments, my avatar and avatar name were not there. I finally got those to come back, but the last comment I tried to post isn’t here. So far, I really, really HATE these changes! It seems like they’re putting in more ads too so they can try to convince more people to go pro. This new site is far less user friendly than the old site was!

Navigation Tip: Instead of right clicking the strip title and opening in a new tab|page as we use to do, right click on the speech balloon and open in anew tab|page. This way you won’t have to reload your comic page when you want to go to another comic.

Screen Name/Avatar: Click on your Avatar (top of the screen to the right of shop) and select My Profile and click EDIT. Then you change your display name and/or update your avatar.

Editing a comment: Until you refresh the page pressing Ctrl + Z in the comment box will re-display your comment so you can edit it and then repost it (then you can delete the previous one).

This is weird! I;m able to get to gocomics on google Chrome, but not on Firefox. When I try t there, it says my email address is already in use or something like that. I can live with that, as long as I can get to the comics on google chrome, I just don’t understand what’s up with that. I still hate this new site, but as i’m starting to get used to it, I hate it less than I did just an hour or so ago. I don’t think I’ll ever love it, though.

I’ve been navigating my comics using the “filmstrip” at the top of each page. It shows six comics from your cue (with the current comic in the middle) Click on an icon to go to the new strip without reloading the main page. If you click and drag the filmstrip left or right you can move the strip one frame at a time to bring more comics into view. Does this help?

I’m not crazy about it, finding the navigation difficult. Suppose I’ll get used to it. I think the old site was simpler.

My comics queue won’t load. When i try i get this message.

“Inside every server there is an internal error, just waiting for its time to shine. This one’s ours. We vow to cease its infernal shining ASAP.”

It sucks. The only way that i can navigate my queue is to use the list at my profile, or through “Comics A to Z”.

Did anyone else have to sign in again? I had a hard time remembering my password from way back when. I had to see where I had it written down. >^oo^<

Then, it put me back to the name Rose Rabbit so I had to change it back to Jazz Cat. :-(

This is from LadyKat…she has a computer mouse problem caused by YumYum thinking it was a real mouse. When her l/t is “fixed”, she will be back. She asked my to let ya’ll know so no one will worry about her absence. I made it to the comics today, too..so far, that is.

Hey, this is what I was so afraid would happen with this new format. I looked back on comics from a year ago – back when we were able to post pictures, just to see if the pictures were still there. No dice. I see comments like “here’s a picture of…” or a comment saying, “great picture”, but there are no pictures. I’m not happy about that!

@BBear: Thanks for posting the links to facebook. Great pictures there today. :)
