Will Trump be a great President? No way of knowing at this point. . Even if Trump does not become a good President, the country will survive. We survived Cater and Obama. We can survive anyone in the office. . Trump is not part of the political elite. You can tell because the political class on both sides were against him. I will consider his years in office a success if leads to more of the political class losing power and a Supreme Court that returns to ruling according to what the founding fathers put into the Constitution rather than legislating through the courts.
Your lack of objectivity is showing. Wishful thinking has no place in an editorial. Yeah, the Democrats have really screwed themselves. But it was nothing the Republicans had a hand in. The Republicans didn’t beat the Democrats. The Democrats misplayed a sure hand and the Republicans got lucky. A good shellacking might just be what the complacent, moribund Democrat party needs to get its head out its 4th point of contact. In a desert? In a snowglobe? Only if they are stupid enough to allow it to happen. Which, I agree, they may very well be.

The Democrats have lost over 1500 seats in city,county,state,and the federal government since 2010.
Why do you Democrats think that happened?
