Jack Burke broke all the bones in both hands. Both fighters were too dazed and tired to continue. Sadly Andy Bowen died in a fight a year later from injuries in a bout with Kid Lavigne. From Wikipedia.

110 rounds, huh? Reminds me of an old Bugs Bunny cartoon.

Gotta watch out for those seagulls when you’re on the beach:

The perimeter of the Pentagon is 4600 feet. I don’t see the 10 minutes as being correct. The furthest point would be 2300 feet. At a walking pace of 3 MPH that would take about 15 minutes.

They’re talking about walking thru the court yard. It’s almost a straight shot. But then they don’t call it the ‘Five Sided Puzzle Palace’ for nothing.

I don’t believe they wore boxing gloves in those days. Did they?

They forgot to add “from any other point in the Pentagon.”

Nothing new about the Hotel using hawks, Australian cricket has for years used raptors (hawks, eagles, falcons) to chase away seagulls from Melbourne Cricket Ground. Victorian Racing do same thing at Flemington Race Course during Spring Racing Carnival.

The Pentagon has five stories above ground and two basement levels.
