Man: If a conflict of interest occurs during your administration, but there's no independent press around to report it, did it actually happen? Donald Trump: Only one way to find out!
Trump prefers “orange” journalism. Today’s news people should study the potentially chilling effect Spiro Agnew had on the press back in the early 1970s. (Maybe Trump advisers already have.) Many news outlets caved in to the Nixon administration complaints, but a few did not, fortunately. With all the fake news often on the Internet today (All the News That’s Fit to Spit), traditional media will have it much tougher this time around. People these days don’t want to hear what they don’t want to hear: They flip the channel or click another site more in line with their pre-conceptions.
Facts are irrelevant. All that matters is a social media source for people to worship, distort, and disseminate as they wish. Hate, bigotry, misinformation, and opinion is the new news.
He’s just making America Great again. No need for you and me to know the details. Suffice to say that he… and therefore America… will be way, way greater soon. Big-league. Soon, he won’t even have to pad his own estimates of his wealth (though he will).
If there’s a conflict of interest in the Trump Administration, and Donald or his family or his appointees know about it, is it STILL a conflict of interest?
If Trump rapes another 13 year old girl, will the girl know about it? Will Trump? (Trump might well do it in a fugue state, or while sleep-walking, or something…….)
