Giving Arlo something useful didn’t feel very ‘gifty’ to Janis…but since it’s shiny and kind of pretty…well, that makes all the difference!Merry Christmas all!

Worrying about gift equivalency: a common occurrence in all households and lampooned unfairly by the writers of “The Big Bang Theory.”

For my 21st birthday I was given a nice watch and a toolbox with a socket set and various other tools.33 years later, the watch has long since died and I use a telephone to tell the time.

I rarely go a whole week without using the tools.

I found out real quick that getting tools or “How To” books on Christmas or my birthday meant that soon after I would get a list of honey-do’s. A very long list.

I think my wife was very happy with the new hard drive I bought her for my… I mean, for OUR computer.

We got a new toilet!

Last year I asked for a new impact wrench because mine was worn out. My wife told me it wasn’t ‘A Fun Present’, so I bought a new IR, wrapped it, and put it under the tree to me.

Never apologize for giving someone what they ask for.

If you, as I do, love old British bikes, you need metric, American, and Wentworth (however it is spelled). Very hard to find.

This is “Husband At His Best”. Arlo does a masterful job of allaying Janis’ lack of understanding of gifts men appreciate. A shiny new set of gadgets that makes his collection complete. He obviously did a masterful job of getting appreciated gifts for Janis, as she feels she didn’t get enough for him. Arlo, you da man!

I should’ve asked one. Somewhere someone is driving an ’89 Olds Cutlass with my 13mm socket that I lost when working on the car.
