Calling America a Christian nation is stupid. Christ would be appalled. Legislate whether or not to feed the poor, legislate whether or not to shelter the homeless, legislate whether or not to help the sick. Family values, Christian values. Does anybody remember Christ’s values.
@DrDon1 http://www.varsitytutors.com/earlyamerica/early-america-review/volume-11/native-americans-smallpox…..////…..I found one reference to 1763 of a British military incident claiming such an atrocity (Our Government was begun in 1787) … and there are legends but no historical proof that the American government did it…on a Cherokee investigation website…..(I suspect you are not asking a legitimate question.)
I think Hopeful American’s right about it. I never found any historical examples of the ‘smallpox blankets’ actually happening, only of various people in positions of responsibility suggesting it, saying they were okay with it, or joking about it. If it ever happened, nobody confessed or put it in writing.

The only ‘position’ Romney deserves is horizontal and that only after he makes a very public apology to President Elect Trump!

Were these the same “native Indians” that were given blankets infected with small pox?
