Being egotistical is one of the least of Holbrook’s sins.

Offer enough money to the powers that be and you get your truth, offer too little and you are stuck with the truth of someone else.

Woodward had some stuff in his last book that he did not reveal until after the 2004 election. That information could have changed the course of our election had it been reported in a timely manner. He may report the truth, but he is no hero. He could have saved us four years of Bush, Cheney, & Co.

Woodward is tight with certain people, and this has always shaped his work. He’s hardly a model these days. He gets inside data because he protects those people and rationalizes on their behalf. He wrote a worshipful book on Bush, then another criticizing him, publishing it after the election, which is irresponsible if he is truly a journalist but probably made him buckets of money while convincing his subjects they could trust him to protect them.

nix-on brought down nixon, woodward jus made $$$ on it. do yr own research, it is miles deeper than the “apologists” like self embedded woodward. Reading him always begs the questions, as he strives to humanize the evil -WHAT else is being covered up by this “work”.
