I have a throwaway account. I once used it to respond to a “job offer.” When you post looking for a job, all kinds of scum come to the surface. It wanted me to go to a credit checking site – really?Turns out the site is legit, but what this person wanted was the code to read the credit report.
One of the latest scams is a call from a person claiming to be from “Windows” telling you that you have a virus on your computer. Just hang up. Sometimes they’ll call back, just keep hanging up.
Yesterday I received an email purportedly saying they were Chase. They said my account was suspended due to software upgrades. Um yeah right. So I call Chase to confirm it was a phishing scam since they didn’t refer to me by name or even what account was suspended. Beware of these emails, they don’t need to be a Nigerian Prince
dflak its more fun when you make them hand up as I have multiple times, usually after asking for their gov’t contract number so I could process the work properly with my bosses at the FBI
This is just beyond outrageous. How can we hold up Pence as an example of anything except a shameless display of powerlust where any lie, any obnoxious, sociopathic behavior by his boss is just fine. Completely immoral, unethical and disgusting.
Ramirez has a wonderful sense of humor, IMO.-This cartoon shows that Governor Pence is the only clean, sober, serious-minded candidate on either ticket, D or R. His trying to keep a debate a real debate is worthy of our appreciation, would make all the money and work well spent on trying to educate the voters on where the candidates stand on issues and on planned governing agendas if elected.
I watched the debate, and I wonder who you are talking about “trying to keep a debate a real debate… worthy of our appreciation.” Certainly not Pence.
I saw Pence actively deny statements made by Trump that are on the national public record, then shake his head and smirk when asked to reply to specific policy questions. As Kaine pointed out, Pence avoided defending six statements made by Trump (again on the public record) by changing the subject each time. Seemed to me that Pence wasn’t very interested at “a real debate” but was much more concerned about finding safe rabbit holes to avoid getting eaten.
Mike Pence said mothers should not work.Tried to force women in Indiana to have funerals for abortions.Tried to shut down and defund Planned Parenthood.Mike Pence voted against equal pay for women and opposed paid family leave.
Not the adult in the room, from what I saw on the debate, and not the guy I want to have any control of women, any women, although he probably fits right in with Trump and his dehumanizing of females. Does Pence also call women “it”?

What’s even more astounding is that people still fall for that scam today, even though it’s actually older than the Internet itself!

They just caught 70 of the IRS scammers in India. They were pulling in $150,000/day. No one ever went broke underestimating the American public.

I used to get six or seven of these a day on my old GMail account. I have since deleted said account for that very reason.

Sadly, Roger wasn’t kidding. There are people not familiar with the internet that fall for that.
And prospective employers now check your credit before hiring you. Even the menial positions have background checks done on them.
