Oh Elvis, you are confusing poor Lupin! He can’t hear for himself how many ceiling cats are up there!

“Tabitha here, where I can hear 3 floor cats. All male, I think.”

Please include a translation in the strip itself. While BCN is my absolute favorite, I don’t have time to use Google Translate. Hence all of Georgia’s wonderful efforts are lost on one of her greatest fans. It is discouraging.

I’m enjoying our romp through memory lane. I love seeing them again and again. But I visited Georgia’s site yesterday, and I sense she is not going to be allowed to post anything new until the late winter or spring. Newspaper syndication, you know. Corporate wields the whip. So, I’m happy for her because this obviously means good money and security for the Man, the children, the boys, and her. And I’m happy we’ll get to see the reruns for awhile longer. I especially hope to see Tommy’s Christmas story.

But, I’m afraid it might end up being a Faustian deal. It certainly ran Bill Watterson out of the Calvin-and-Hobbs business.

So this is where Tabitha and “Sir Figaro Newton” get introduced! I love it! Poor Elvis does not like change…

Elvis has watched too much Trump. He’s turning two immigrants into thirty and panicking about it.

Georgia, on her site, posted “Hi! When the comic launches into papers sometime this winter or spring, that’s when there will be new strips. I don’t have a specific date yet, but when I do I will share it.”

I just had an idea. Why don’t we all send a letter or email to our local newspapers telling them what a good comic this is and asking them to run it? Anything to keep a good thing going.

That is EXCELLENT news about the strips, short term bad for us as we will not see any new material for a bit longer. Long term, wonderful, if it means that Georgia has or soon will be picked up by newspapers, which means she can finally get paid for all of her hard work. She has been extraordinarily generous in GIVING away all of this terrific work, but needs to contribute to the household, I am sure, and if not picked up by newspapers that might be the end of BCN. Just think, maybe we will see The Toddler got to kindergarten, see Beatrix become a news producer…

Now, now…MeGo and Wayne made gentle little jokes about a current event and didn’t get all political about it. Let’s just let it go at that, huh? This is a sterling, warm strip without a hint of meanness or grossness about it. Let’s keep it that way.

Maybe it’s because I’m a 50s-type of gal, but I LOVE Tabitha’s business suit and her pearls! The quintessential refined businesscat!
