I got some special glasses and watched the last solar eclipse, but I admit that it’s a hard sell to get me up in the wee hours to watch a meteor shower.

Love the image of Apollo racing across the sky with oven gloves. What I want to know is where is he going to put the darned thing down?

Over-hyped meteor showers are still a thing. Either all the good ones occur when its cloudy here, or they are disappointments on the order of Kohoutek.

Technically a star isn’t “inflamed” as in combusting, it is more of nuclear fusion process. Why when the hydrogen has been fused to helium our star will use it for about half the time it had with hydrogen.

I used to do that Sky Stuff. Visited an observatory; used binoculars; watched a meteor shower while sipping gin and tonic. Now I live in the glow of urban lighting and see nothing!
