I’m early, it seems. But I’ll need the extra time – no side-by-side for me (yet [sniffle]) to find the TEN!!! differences this time. At least.

Thomas Alpha Dog Edison has a bright idea:

Gordon’s just trying to reach his feet so he can put on his shoes and socks. It’s been getting harder every year.

Leslie Thompkins, you should get down on the floor with Gordon! I agree that he is not pretty from this angle, but if you were on the floor your view would be different.

Here is tonight’s puzzle. I am not even going to squint at it so I don’t get in trouble with Susan.

Here I am! Here I am!

It’s Saturday… in the Sept 5th  2020 “CLEO and COMPANY”

    on Sherpa….

So you’re supposed to be puzzled tonight…

    but not over my whereabouts!

    Sorry….

    You’ve seen the puzzle online…

But if you’ve been waiting for my side-by-side….

    Here it is:

    https://i.postimg.cc/gkC48rqp/Cleo-nine-differences-Sept-5th-20.png

The file name says “nine differences” .. but as you will note… there are really ten, as in the title.

BTW… I kinda like the “Alpha” in there, Tigressy…

But this is Thomas Alva Basseton, from his original appearance in a “Great Moment in Basset History.”

Got them! The side-by-side really helped with the last one.

Dennis… why in the world would you think you’d ever be in trouble with ME?

Almost every week, I say those who want to do the puzzle vertically, can do so on Sherpa…

If anybody were in trouble, I guess it would be me, for for getting the side-by-side here late…

but you know what… we all do what we can, as best we can…

And due to unforeseen circumstances, I couldn’t get here earlier tonight… so…. pbthfft!, I say…. OK, or “sorry”, if you prefer… I suppose.

Meanwhile… I was going to link o the Thomas Alva Bassetton history cartoon…

but it’s so funny, I think Nighthawks should just rerun it, especially as some of you probably haven’t seen it…

and I don’t want to spoil it.

    What say you, Nighthawks?

Ok… I need to post the puzzle solution so I can I go to bed.

WARNING …it’s even more important this week to NOT use Neil Wick’s GC Links before you’ve made your best effort..

You may have noticed that I did NOT say “the semi-anonymous animation-solution-maker PERFECTIONISTA’s animation solution.”

I have received word from Cleo and Company Corporate HQ that we’re switching to a new form of solution display.

Apparently there have been a few problems with animation solutions, though I have enjoyed the gifT©s.

They can’t resolve questions as to what to count, or what is together or separate..

A few people have trouble seeing tiny differences in a gif… and occasionally, small movements are detected where there is no intended difference.

This week, the semi-anonymous animation-solution-maker PERFECTIONISTA has produced a a solution with the differences circled.

That’s why the warning … I think it’s easier this way to see a spoiler with an accidental glance.

    https://i.postimg.cc/T120RY5D/FTD-9-7-2020-crop-solution.png

I asked her whether she will become the semi-anonymous circled-differences-solution-maker PERFECTIONISTA…

but she wants ME to be responsible for creating the weekly circled-differences solution.

While it’s true that I have almost always found all the differences in a reasonable amount of time,

there were a few times when the 9th took me considerably longer… or I stopped at 9 and then found out there were 10.

What if I ever leave one out??

I’m not entirely convinced that I want everyone to trust MY conception of the correct solution…

I still have to discuss it with the (now ex) semi-anonymous animation-solution-maker PERFECTIONISTA.

Does anyone think it would be better to post the solutions on YESTERDAY’s forum every week?

An extra click, but harder to see accidentally.

It took a while but I finally got all of them. Are there 11 differences if the color is different in the panels?
