What, runaway climate change isn’t the greatest danger in the world right now? What parallel universe does Payne inhabit?

How can anyone think that something which threatens the entire planet and every living thing on it is a bigger threat than something that occasionally threatens small groups of people?

Mr. Payne. Do you really believe that we should not deal with long term problems and threats because there are also immediate problems and threats? Aren’t we capable of dealing with both?

He must have missed Obama’s recent speech.Is he advocating gun control, or is this a cheap shot?

I don’t believe in Human caused Climate Change or God, but I wouldn’t mind being wrong. I would love to see the look on haters faces when St. Peter pushes the switch to the trap door. Also when the coast line changes and they blame Obama.

Global Climate change is our number one world threat. Guns are an American problem because the NRA keeps relaxing gun laws. Nice to see Payne has identified that guns are a problem, though.

if we could have speeded up global warming then Orlando would be under water and no one would have been in that club…climate change good…duhhh

I have to wonder why someone who’s on the terrorism watch list can buy a gun? Doesn’t this defeat the reason for being on this list? And talking about watch lists. Just when is Hillary Clinton going to be indicted for her violation of her use of state secrets in using her own email not very secure server? And didn’t she also do a Richard Nixon in destroying 30-50,000 emails? She’s already been found to be guilty as hell. What’s this, more of our two party system? Not quite. Climate and weather phenomena, because of their obvious relevance to life have to be studied in any case, with or without climate change They still have a lot of research to be done. The claim that scientists are frauds doing just for money is absurd.In any case what would the government gain by pushing climate change if it was false ? On the other side the fossil fuel industry has a huge interest in fighting climate change claims to protect their trillion dollar industry. You see scientists falsifying data to get research grants, but can’t fathom business interests trying to muddy the waters for financial gains that are a million times more.I find it extremely depressing that instead of finding ways to combat climate change, we are still debating whether it’s real or not in public forums.
