JerseyWe had one once. You could go in with an eighth inch bolt and say, “I need nut and lock washer for this” and within five minutes, they would have a match and charge you a nickel. They also had corn shaped muffin pans and 65 pound anvils. The Chamber of Commerce could have called it a living museum and brought in tourists, but wouldn’t, so it is gone now. We do have a couple of chain stores, but I never need a package of lost parts for a dollar, one is adequate, even if it cost a dime.
