Times DO change after all! These days, our poor penguin would be enslaved by Jeff Bezos/Amazon, Mark Zuckerberg/Facebook, or Alphabet/Google.

I remember those days in the ’80s with the commercials by Ronco and K-Tel as well as the Columbia House pull out in the Sunday paper where you could get 12 cassettes for a penny if you agree to buy a few more at regular price, just do not forget to send in the card if you do not want the selection of the month. Then in the 2000s we had Billy Mays and his products like Orange-Glo, Oxi-clean and Mighty Putty, Vince “The Shamwow Guy” (hilarious in his infomercials), the Amish space heater and endless commercials for the Snuggie. Mays lived in the Tampa area before he died so the local malls always used to have demonstrations of his products quite often and a few of my friends said they actually saw Mays at a few of them. That Orange-glo stuff actually worked but I never bought any of his other stuff.

I have the Slim Whitman album where he yodels The Marriage of Figaro!!

Wait until he gets exposed to Zamfir and his Pan Flute!

How many people realize that the Dum-da-dum-dum-dum-dum-dum at the end of the Farmers Insurance commercial is the spelling of their name?

And who could forget Tom Vu’s infomercials in the early 90’s, all those babes lounging around and posing on his yacht while he pitched real estate investments.

I bought the “SlapChop” and it worked great…

He’d probably buy a “My Pillow” inadvertently supporting Trump.

It’s kind of a mixed triumph for Madison Avenue that Opus Penguin has so become ensorcelled by their magic….
