It’s too much (or should I say little) for a 12-13 year old. Think about it, she would either have to wear one of those stick-on bras or none at all, and that image is just too much for a young teenager to carry off. I agree with J_Verschueren where if the back were closed and the neckline a little higher, I’d be fine with it.
The wide range of Val’s expressions are priceless though. She’s saying a lot without using words.
You’ve got that right. Holly just likes to push buttons. Holly principle won’t let you in school dress like that. Your not old enough for that nothing dress. Heck I won’t even wear that and I’m far from slinder more a lot more outer body wise.
My daughter in HS years ago wore a very nice formal dress for prom but could hardly wait to change to comfy, like everyone else blue jeans. Wish we could have found her formal dress at garage sale saved a lot of money, but not telling my daughter that. Where we went the sales lady who helped my daughter got a commision.
My daughter got to go in my dreams.
Notice we can’t see how short the dress is either. Strips like these make me glad I only have sons. (Because I remember what I put my parents through with my clothing!)
I don’t think they care any more if the bra shows. I’d like to see the length of the dress. I get the impression it might be split up the middle which would be a probablem sitting down.
I can’t stand to see these teenage (and younger!) girls wearing all these layered tops and yet their bra straps still show! While I’m grateful you’re wearing underwear, I don’t want to see it! Same goes for peeps who wear thongs and hip hugger jeans and constantly feel the need to bend over!
I only have a couple of pet peeves when it comes to fashion: sneakers with a dress, skirt, or suit, and a strapless top (or spaghetti straps) with a bra that isn’t strapless. Men who don’t wear a t-shirt under their dress shirt so their nipps or chest hair shows should be subjected to ti++y twisters until their nipps turn purple.
James, I’ll drink to that - and I don’t want to seek my contractors crack either (unless my BF) and also BTW salesgirls who bend over and show tramp stamps. When I go out in public daytime, I take the time and trouble (even at my 70+ years to dress nicely and apply enough makeup to look human and I expect others shopping or in the workplace to do likewise.

WIth a different bra and if the back were closed, that would almost work. Holly will have to be more subtle to sneak one past Val.
Though, in Val’s place, I would burst out laughing instead of getting worked up.

Slipping her micky may work.

Yeah, that would be a nice dress if she was about 20 years old instead of a middle schooler.

Why are so many clueless about dress?

Take a closer look at the front…that wouldn’t fly either as far as I’m concerned. I agree, when she’s 20 (but not to the office, please).

Little Sharper U, I have been asking the same thing, but Jan hasn’t answered directly, she just keeps drawing it! A Charlie Brown homage.
