He is working on getting kicked out as speaker and out of the Republican Party. Next will be tire tracks and road kill.

Ryan wants to increase tax breaks for rich people, build up the world’s most expensive military and disable America’s health care system. Its time to end the destructive behavior of the republican party. They did not come up with a single jobs bill over the last 7 years. They are worse than worthless, they are malignant.

Normally, someone of Ryan’s ilk would be wearing horizontal stripes of alternating white and black in a matching jacket and trousers combo.

Whenever I see Ryan on the news, I think of the old song, “Jeepers, Creepers.”.Jeepers Creepers, where’d ya get those peepers?Jeepers Creepers, where’d ya get those eyes?Gosh all git up, how’d they get so lit up?Gosh all git up, how’d they get that size?.I think he has his eyes on the prize, if he can get people to accept his Ayn Rand views.

Paul Ryan being a “moderate” is more like his home state’s governor, Scott Walker, being “pro labor”.

Ryan is only trying to get independents and so-called Reagan Democrats to come his way. The Reagan Democrats were never FOR Reagan, just against, or at least not FOR what the Democrats were pushing at the time.Currently reading E.J. Dionne’s book Why the Right Went Wrong, goes all the way back to Goldwater, and shows how the RIGHT, not necessarily Republicans, have tried to use the siren song of lower taxes, less government to appeal to the people, and why that tension of promise vs. performance hasn’t worked.

In the GOP, Ryan is moderate. That’s why even his historically regressive budget can’t pass. It doesn’t hurt poor people enough, it doesn’t shower the rich with enough money, and the right-wingers are therefore blocking it. Do not expect governance from a party that has no motivating force other that hating America and its government.

" He wants to take America backward at only a slow trot instead of an all-out gallop."That is why he will be road kill. I have no sympathy for Paul Ryan. He is part of the problem for the reason the US is the way it is and the state of the Republican Party. He is just starting to realize that maybe. He was wrong about givers and takers, and American sentencing laws, but he has far more realization in front of him if he says he wants to help and care about the poor. He is still delusional.

Toon reminded of talking with GHW Bush’s wingman from WW II, when he stated that Bush always getting back to the carrier before them, after abandoning his missions, gave them that big yellow stripe down his back to lock onto for landing.

Then of course “W” deserting the Texas National Guard to further evade duty in ’Nam.

Now we have Trump vs Cruz, both chickenhawks with big mouths, and mutually tiny “hands”.

“edinbaltimore”, also reading Dionne as well as “Dark Money . .” By Jane Mayer, both interesting tomes on where the power in the Republican Party truly lies. Interesting reading both.

If by “backward” you mean “opposite of what Obama has done” then WOOHOO! MORE PEOPLE WORKING, LESS ON WELFARE!

Backward would be to Georgie Boy and his recession which hit just before Obama’s election, and was a big part of the reason McCain lost. Remember, he said there should be a moratorium on campaigning until the crisis was over. And how many people would be working if the Republicans had had their way and let Detroit go under? Even the head of Ford said they would go belly-up since most parts makers are not tied to one company.
