I agree with Sandfan and Number Six about Andy Capp He was a lot smarter and craftier when Reg was drawing him. These guys have reduced him to a one dimensional character. He lacks the subtle nuances that Reg Smythe gave him.

Old classic: “Jackie, I hear Chalkie was in here last night.”“Yes, he was.”“…….Was I with him?”

Hmm. Not as funny as yesterday’s strip. Kind of predictable too.
