Had a friend in the 7th grade who did that. We’d always make sure to tell him the funniest jokes we knew.

Our dinner table was like that. See if you can finish that bite when you’re laughing so hard that your jaws hurt.

I can never understand the U.S. fascination for buttermilk. After I finished making our butter all that was left was a tasteless pale milky white liquid.

@Leading EdgeThank you for that info.About Gregory Blaxland, I think you can get his logs on project Gutenberg. The ship is HMAS Vampire early days. It is now in the Australian Maritime museum in Sydney.I spent most of my seatime in Vendetta 67 to 70 and Vampire 71 to 74 plus some time on Sydney 2 ( The Vung Tou ferry). Got as far as Canada on her.In that photo the bow is about 12ft out of the water, the one before she was buried up to where the white water is. Th photo is taken From the aircraft carrier Melbourne, they are about 100ft apart.

I remember making breakfast for myself when I was seven and pouring some of my grandparents’ buttermilk (which I’d never drank before) on my Cheerios, reasoning that since I liked BUTTER… I took one bite, was suitably repulsed and have never tried buttermilk since.

My sense of humor seems to be a bit different from Calvin’s.

Tommy: Just one more poor character Bill Watterson invented then discarded on his path to comic perfection. RIP Thomas Noname.

That happens between my mom and my aunt all the time. Whenever mom tells a joke, my aunt always has the bad timing of drinking something at that moment, and then it happens. Sometimes there are not even jokes, just casual talking.
