A checkbook…..hmm, lemme see, I think I got one around here somewhere…..oh, here it is, in this drawer with the last 3 years of unopened Yellow Pages, an AM clock radio and some spare shoe laces.
Home Ec was completely different when I was in school. We did a lot of baking and I sewed one very bad rendition of a blouse. I didn’t learn anything to prepare me for life. I made a mean cherry pie with a lattice top to pass my group for the year though. Yeah me!
I just ordered checks, but it may be the last time. I write so few checks any more that one order may last the rest of my life. Between auto pay, online pay, and debit card, there are few left to write.

Makes me wonder if tomorrows kids are even gonna know how to write with a pen or pencil on paper.

Every once in a while I have to write a check to pay somebody, like a handyman.
