Be aware of unforeseen consequences. Gathering up all of the neighborhood cats impacts on the over crowded pound, impacts neighbors frantically trying to find their pets, and can lead to law suits.. Cats do catch some birds. The number caught is minimal and does not have a great impact on the avian population.Fuzzbucket – neutering and spraying, unless in the breeding business, results in a healthier and longer living cat. Ditto dogs.
Our cats are indoor cats, mine always have been. It’s dangerous out there for them too! Pepper likes to have a walk in the front yard, but only with his harness and lead on. It’s so funny, the other night he hopped up on a box in the hall so I could put his harness on easier :) Did it again when we came in too!
All these cat haters should turn their hate to the Morons in Florida that love Pit Bulls. I can’t calculate the number of attacks by them on children and innocent bystanders because the morons just have to have a Pit.
I agree that cats who are indoor only are healthier and live longer. My two were rescues and in such shape that there was no question as to whether they would be allowed outside or not. Fotunately, the house is large enough that they have room to run, play, and explore. The discussion about cats killing birds will never be resolved. I did not mean to start such responses. I respect your opinion and let’s leave it at that.

The pound just told him that his prize breeding stock had to be neutered before he could have it back.
