Obama’s had OUR military bombing them. UK and France are now bombing them. Several of their Arab neighbors have or are covertly acting against them.
Attacks in the U.S. Have occurred in Charleston, Aurora, Roseburg and elsewhere with NO Muslim/ISIL/Al Qaeda involvement, just good old crazies and “pro-life” killers like in Colorado Springs.
ISIL is not a national government or army of conventional warfare, it’s “whack a mole” time, in several countries, and yes, like Al Qaeda, or our own American “militias” they have scattered representation in cells of local whackos.
The only component of “Sam” on the run are the chickenhawks on the right more intent on harming Obama, and the U.S. Actual national interests, than ISIL.
“Conseratives” at home for seven years now have exposed the real enemy, and to cite Pogo, they have the right to proclaim loudly; “We have seen the enemy, and it is us.” With apology to Walt Kelly.
Daesh really, really wants us to come over and fight them. It will do wonders for their recruiting as people who currently hate them will suffer the slopover from our clumsy efforts, and end up joining them.
So of course the GOP wants to show how tough they are.
CIA overthrowing the Iranian prime minister of Iran (ELECTED) in 1953 to protect oil company profits, continual bombing of the Middle East and calling the innocents killed “collateral damage”, using the STUPID “enemy of my enemy is my friend” logic which causes the US to alternately befriend and bomb the same people caused (or at least contributed heavily) to the strife in the Middle East.
Obama doesn’t get it — his call for Middle Eastern nations to step in for the combat roles is undercutting our opportunity to see more of our own kids lying dead in the desert! America is the greatest and we need to slaughter our own children, not leave it up to the people who actually live in the region.
