Yup, starting just before Halloween—in the retail stores.

Santa has been seen wearing denim shorts and drinking beer – “Christmas in July” party.

Christmas is 12 days long (whence the song “The 12 Days of Christmas”). It’s the overcommercialization that lasts forever.

Commercialization (and anticipation) of Christmas is 2 1/2 months (or more). Christmas is 12 days, or maybe 1 1/2 month if you go to February 2. But it doesn’t start until December 25 (eve of the 24th, by secular reckoning)
