Barack Obama: These are hateful extremists with good social media bent on attacking us! Their only weapons are fear and intimidation! We can't let them win! But enough about the republicans...
I am convinced the reason the snake oil sales guy is doing so well is because the public is so very fed up with our do nothing politicians that Trump looks like the lesser of two evils.
“… I believe that if a non-politician ran as a democrat, Hillary and Bernie would not stand a chance.”What would happen if a non politician ran as an independent?
Trump is entertaining, and has somewhere between 20% – 30% of the folks likely to vote in Republican primaries and caucuses. The 70% who are anti-Trump are splitting 70% of the vote 13 ways (so an average of about 5.5% each). Some thought Trump would have vanished by now. They were wrong. He has had 20% – 30% for six months now, and the rest has been divided by 16, then 15, then 14, and now 13 anti-Trump options..Trump will remain in the lead at least until the Iowa caucus, and probably until the New Hampshire primary, when the field of 13 suddenly drops WAY off. And then ….We’ll have Billary back in the White House in Jan ’17.
“The Independent Party is not the same as being an “independent” voter.”Excellent point, I’ll clarify … having no use for candidates that represent a political organization, instead of, we the people, I am registered as independent (unaffiliated) and there were no independent parties that could afford to have candidates in my last local election. I haven’t seen the Independent Party in years.
I disagree. We’re all for the non-poiliticians during the primary season, but when it comes to pullingthe lever, most people will go with the devil you know, i.e. someone who has some experience in politics.

I’m curious – who would you think could be a non-politician running successfully as a Democratic candidate for President?

Meanwhile Obama has one terrorist-supporting friend he could likely do without….
