Little things stay in your memory, for example, I remember when my mother and dad finally allowed me to drink out of real glass. I felt so grown up. It was as though they were saying, in a significant way, “We trust you.”

Happy New Year.

I remember those days and thinking the exact same thing.

Have a safe celebration of New Years Eve. Wishing people like I whose birthday is on New Years Eve Happy Birthday. Eating out today then later watching Rocking Eve on ABC. May have birthday cake/ice cream. No sports.

There is only 6 in the set. It is the special crystal, after all.

Lizzie is either 5 or 6 years younger than Michael, depending if she started school at 4 or 5, since in Canada there is Junior and Senior Kindergarten before Grade 1. She started school this year. Michael is in Grade 5, that would make him 9 or 10.

But when exactly was April born? As I recall, it was not quite April. I remember it being when Mom and kids were home during a snow storm and John was on a trip and couldn’t get back in time. Lizzie surprised him with the news when he arrived. I loved the strips when April was a baby. Lynn’s drawings of the infant were adorable.

Good thing nobody minds spoilers on this strip…
