If you use a telescope the other way round, it works as a microscope. That trick never worked with a microscope, though. I had a pocket microscope for a while.
While I was in military service, 1968-1972, they kept telling us to “look at the Big Picture.” All, I really saw, was that “the Big Picture” was just the American version of Hitler’s “Big Lie.” The “Big Picture” lost the Vietnam war for us and Hitler’s “Big Lie” got Germany occupied and divided into four occupation zones by four foreign armies.
He’s probably fine, but Randolph actually went bye-bye years ago. From what I could find, Mr. Toles only drew the strip for a couple of years. He had to drop it when he got his gig replacing Herblock. Hopefully, like other long gone strips, they’ll start this one from the beginning again.
Instead of going back to the beginning manually, why can’t GOCOMICS restart the oldest ones each day, that way we see the whole series, many of us never followed Randolph until this year?

There are some things that are too big to see, yet too small to ingore.

Would the telescope be trying to horn itself into the microscope’s work? Why else should it be turned about?

Either god is in the details, or the devil is in the details . . .

It’s been too long… has Randolph left us? Tom Toles keeps producing his great editorials, but I’ll miss Randolph if he is not continuing.
