Alix: You like Phil, right, Holly?
Holly: He's great, Alix.
Holly: He sure makes MOM happy.
Alix: Yeah.
Holly: It's perfect! When we leave home, we won't have to WORRY about her.
Alix: Who's leaving home?!
Boy: Z
I sure will miss seeing this everyday but certainly understand Jan Eliot wanting to do something else after twenty years. At least we will have Sundays.
A time of endings. Yesterday it was Yogi Berra, on whom I had kind of a crush in the late 40’s – early 50’s. I used to look up his stats in the paper every day. He didn’t look that bad – see his younger photos on Google Images. And he turned out to be one of the greats.
I first discovered the strip about four years ago when it was introduced to our local paper. I’d glance at it from time to time, not wanting to get hooked on another strip but the characters and their stories wouldn’t let me avoid them. Now I read it here every day since I dropped the weekly paper. The Sunday edition doesn’t carry the strip so it will just disappear as many strips in the past have from the paper. Glad I slipped on over here where I can now read it from the beginning. If you read these comments Ms Eliot, thank you very much!
Hope GOCOMICS starts reruns from the beginning like Peanuts, Luann, BC, and all the others. I would really enjoy Stone Soup from the beginning. Or Jan could follow the example of Lynn’s For Better or Worse and run the old strips with updated art.
Jan Eliot, so great you get to go do some different things in life. I’m glad we will get to still check in on Sundays. Thanks for the years of dailies.

My son once asked me when he was about Alex’s age, where I was going to live when he got married!
