Not quite the right way, Mona…..

Hey Gweedo, good to see ya!

Ummm, Mona? That’s not quite The Way of “getting into it.” On the other hand, since it seems to be soccer, or possibly hockey, that they’re watching, Mona has some justification…. BTW, what’s that pink drink, Mona?

I haven’t turned on the TV in four days. Does that make me a bad World Citizen?

althougth i don´t like the fut ball i really like to see that lucas is having those friends, they make balanse to mona; two funny shalow guys enchage for a deep bitter girl

I’m totally with Lucas and his friends - I’m loving the World Cup (and I love hockey, too). It’s just hard because I don’t have television….

Mona does not like sweaty men in tight shorts? My last girlfriend found it interesting to watch all mens sports. She is probably watching soccer with some guy now. And wondering out loud why he isn’t like the players.

I’m going to give Mona the benefit of the doubt here, and propose that she WAS in fact making a good-faith effort to join in the enthusiasm. Watching an event (sporting or otherwise) about which you know nothing can still be engaging if you’re among people who are avid about it. Her “Yeah! Sports!!! GRRRR!!!!!!” may simply reflect her unfamiliarity with the idiom, rather than mockery of it.

I thought this would be something about Le Jour du Père, but I guess La Coupe du Monde will probably do… although France lost to Mexique.

Hey! Is Mona out on date with Lucas?

I think it’s unlikely, Ron, unless the Brahs are a “couple” and they’re double-dating (not that there’d be anything wrong with that).
