Connie! GET A LIFE and move on! Elly is right. Connie is nuts! Connie, Elly was already a single till she met John and then, both of them were married and had two kids. They will hope that their marriage will last longer. Connie doesn’t know how to deal with the marriage anyway.

I’ve been married for almost 22 years to the best husband any woman could ever hope for and I can honestly say that I’ve never pined for any of my old boyfriends. Why would I do that when I was smart enough not to let the one get away to begin with?!?!?!?!
I see the exchange between Elly and Connie as friendly and warm. Returning to a memory when nothing new is occupying your head, I think is pretty natural.
Those who don’t agree have never had the same point of reference as Connie. You guys are not so right. There is no right or wrong. There are events that will evolve you and those that won’t. That’s all. You don’t get a badge of honor for not hurting, and to all the Connies, shame doesn’t belong. Just learning.
The learning is what makes one “nuts” ; its all part of the curve. Its a good thing Connie doesn’t have to count on the harsh critics for support.
When Elly says, Connie, you’re nuts, and Connie responds: “Well DUH. ” Its all sisterhood at work.
Where did she say “well duh”? In the scenario you imagine instead of reading what’s in the strip? I don’t see her agreeing with Elly in “sisterhood” at all in the last panel. She seems offended, as if she doesn’t realize how nuts she is.

Connie gives desperate women a bad name.

This is for every time I see a comment on here about “I am so glad I never got married”.
Marriage can be hard work, but I wouldn’t trade a minute (of 37years) of it. I wouldn’t want to be Connie, or any other single desperate person.

If we point out that Connie is nuts, our comments get deleted, so I’m glad Elly finally said it to her straight out.
wndrwrthg really nailed it.
