This is just one of the many times Horace has ventured into the blank space beyond the borders of his world. Maybe he could get paid for it by becoming a professional “blankonaut.”
This is absolutely my favorite ‘toon, because it constantly ignores the ’box’.
But Horace, thinking ‘outside the box’ can be done by sitting in your chair and just, well, thinking…
“Samson’s” signature continues on the horizontal while poor Horace takes a tumble. Does Samson know something Horace doesn’t?
