After 7 years of Obama…….I remember when the same Lefties on here would call GW Bush a tyrant (or Hitler) because “He’s just helping his rich oil buddies and doesn’t care about the rest of us!”.Yet those same Lefties are silent when it comes to Obama. Hmm.

Odd, isn’t it, how soaring corporate executive pay, Wall Street malfeasance, de-regulation and a major assault on the middle-class all began in earnest in the early 1980’s. Hmmm.

The middle class workers just don’t seem to know how to invest their disposable income, performance bonuses and stock options as well as their bosses do:http://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2013-05-30/board-director-pay-hits-record-251-000-for-250-hours

I would think if the Congress would actually address our problems and do things like revamp the tax code, renovate our infrastructure, enhance R&D, make education more affordable and competitive with the rest of the world, fix immigration for 12 million people, and not want to fight another war, we might get some where. Clearly voting against Obama care sixty or seventy times, obsessing about Benghazi and emails, and not being able to pass a budget does us little good. Letting wealth continue to accumulate at the top will eventually lead to civil unrest. We just need a government that actually works again. Term limits and short limited campaigns would help a lot. Right now a handful of people finance more than a third of the election circus trying to promote their interests.

When I graduated from high school in 1962, my husband and I bought a house and two cars within the next few years, on what he was making on a job he got right out of high school. Most of the guys I graduated with did the same. I didn’t work, few women did, and those who did actually chose to do so. Now, it isn’t really a choice for most women, unless they don’t mind living in poverty. When I decided to become a teacher, my first quarter’s tuition at a state university was $79, and we rented any books we needed for $20. Anyone could go to college with just a part time job to pay for it.Since that time, the GNP has skyrocked and the American worker is acknowledged to be the most productive in the world. But, all of the value they are producing is going to the top 1%. The Middle Class standard of living is declining, and a college graduate hasn’t anywhere near as easy a time as we had with just high school. We produce the highest quality goods on earth, and we can’t afford to buy them. A young person told me a while back that I couldn’t really understand why their generation was so angry. What I actually don’t understand is why they aren’t rioting in the streets.

This isn’t sarcasm, this is Truth! This is one reason I will vote for Bernie Sanders.Don’t let the word Socialism hang you up, our country has used much socialism for our people and it was to our vast benefit.Look the word up. He is not talking Communism and it doesn’t lead to communism.Socialism is about public parks, public libraries, and thank God for Libraries, police and firefighters, an of course Social Security, which is in NO Danger of going broke. They have around 60 million $$ !

What makes you think Socialism is the greatest evil??Would you rather have Fascism? I think that is far worse.Unless you are being sarcastic. I guess I will have to get my dictionary.Socialism has enormous variety. It involves the argument that economic production has an essential social as distinct from individual element, that requires public investment and a public share in distribution of rewards. The thesaurus says it even better. We have had a good bit of socialism in our country including public libraries, public parks, Social Security, police, firefighters, enfrastructure upkeep, and such things as drivers liceince, records, and a whole lot more.Socialism is a part of our country as is democracy was and capitalism.
