This tradition does not translate well to other countries. Thanksgiving in Canada is in early October. Way too early for Christmas decorations, except in the stores, Any time after Remembrance Day, Nov 11, is acceptable for putting up decorations, though most wait until Dec. 1

LED Xmas lights are the best. Omly have to put them up once. After Jan.6th, you just unplug ’em!
