I thought they said the world was gonna end 21 December 2012? We were about two and half years too early.

That’s okay, Lio…we all have days like that….some stretch on forever and some blow up in your face…

Don’t panic.

Maybe Lio was swept up in the final moment, and he’ll find himself on a space ship with a fish in his ear on Monday.

There is yet a third theory which suggests that both of the first two theories were concocted by a wily editor of ‘The Hitch-Hiker’s Guide to the Galaxy’ in order to increase the level of universal uncertainty and paranoia and so boost the sales of the guide…. This last theory is, of course, the most convincing, because ‘The Hitch-Hiker’s Guide to the Galaxy’ is the only book in the whole of the known universe to have the words ‘Don’t Panic’ inscribed in large, friendly letters on the cover.

The answer to “42” is “What is six times nine”, according to Douglas Adams. Someone pointed out that 42 is the correct answer to that question if you are working in base 13.

I love how the “refresh F5” floater appears when Lio presses the button LOL.

Notice the discarded can in the first panel. Lio is just speeding up the process of planetary destruction that the rest of us are doing in slow motion.

“42” is NOT the answer. That was Adams’s point: there is no “answer.” Life has plenty of meaning and beauty without having to believe there is an ultimate answer to some ultimate question.

Then again, he was also terribly depressed.

How many times do we have to say it? Flash is a god-awful plugin!

Fortunately those of us using Firefox weren’t affected. Reload is ‘Ctrl + R’, and is a single semicircle with an arrow. (Hopefully the new Universe will be MS-free!)
