Let it go, boys. Just let it go. Along with all the other crap that comes with the stupid flag. You know, the stuff that kills nine people in Bible study! Bible study for gawd’s sake!!!

Why not. People burn the stars and stripes around the world and in this country. That’s what free speech is. Protecting the symbols, words, and ideas that are unpopular.

Some think it’s a symbol of rebellion. Here at the vulpine retreat, we prefer this one:

The North has no reason to be smug about race. The South is not the exclusive home of racism, it’s a nationwide problem. In some ways, some parts of the South are ahead of some parts of the North.

Flag worship. Pathetic idolatry. At least those proudly displaying it exhibit their bigotry. Please proceed.

A cross is also an inanimate object, even when it’s burning. Not the symbol, but the mental state it enflames.

Good cartoon. Lee himself was done with the whole thing when he surrendered at Appomattox. And that isn"t the Confederate flag, it’s the Army of Northern Virginia’s battle flag, invented to keep Confederate soldiers from confusing the U.S. flag and the real Confederate flag during battle.(The C.S.A. had three different state flags during its brief lifetime; none of them look much like what’s being debated over now).Leave the old Confederate stuff to the memorabilia collectors.

And yet we cater to a racist group of traitors (think Texas forcing Spanish on the entire country) funneling them billions, putting 1/3 on the Supreme Court (stacking rulings in their favour) and practising apartheid discrimination.Yeah, THAT’S “fair”.
