Ages ago (before being unceremoniously purged from the station with the rest of the DJs on a station I have not willingly listened to since; nor will I publicize it here), the morning DJ used to put out albums of song parodies every year around Christmas; sales of the recordings would fund a children’s charity. On one such recording was a song called “I Am Man,” a parody of Helen Reddy’s “I Am Woman.” My favorite line: “I am man, I have gas. It’s just something I must pass; and I really like to blame it on the dog.”
