It will be the taxpayers helping, not any politician like Obama.

Crockett was a congressman, not a Senator and from Tennessee, not Texas.

Ah yes, nothing like a bit of hypocrisy laid out for all to see; plus for faux news and republicans to gloss over or ignore.

Curse you government for giving us aid in our time of need! Shaking fist in the air Curse you government! Don’t you know every man is an island surrounded by water that is quickly rising. We tried to drown you in a bathtub, but now it looks like God is trying to flush us into the Gulf of Mexico.Maybe some think this is the second coming?Get better soon Texas. It seems you guys have been drawing the short end of the stick for awhile and one never knows what the next news is going to be coming out of Texas.

The other guy’s problm is his problem, and the government should stay out. My problem is the government’s problem and they have to help me out, like defense contracts in my home town, NASA contracts, and well a little oil revenue, and when drought of flood occur, I EARNED those payments".

    Old Texas proverb.

During the floods during the Clinton administration, affected Texas counties were told no on being declared a federal disaster area.False: " After 18 inches of rain that began falling last Saturday, rivers across central and south Texas reached record levels, causing more than $400 million in destruction and forcing thousands of people to flee their homes.

Twenty counties have been declared federal disaster areas, clearing the way for federal loans and other assistance, and Gov. George W. Bush has asked the Federal Emergency Management Agency to add five more counties to the list.

On Friday, Bush and FEMA Director James Lee Witt were to fly over the hard-hit towns of Victoria and Cuero, then tour the flood-ravaged neighborhoods on foot. “”blank" style=“font-weight: bold;” href=“http://www.cnn.com/WEATHER/9810/23/texas.floods.02/index.html?_s=PM:WEATHER”>http://www.cnn.com/WEATHER/9810/23/texas.floods.02/index.html?s=PM:WEATHERYour other comments are antedotal or slanted. You do know Texas put ads in California and the governor came to California to try and lure businesses with out much success. So did Rick Scott from Florida. So your point about New York State is what?

Shocking how liberals want to score talky points off of a tragedy. British Columbia had floods this week and their government stepped in to help right away. Obama should not have to even have been asked.

Everybody blames Obama for everything. But when they are needing help that’s who they ask for help.

denis1112: No bribes? What do you call no taxes for ten years? Denison tried that and when the ten years were up, they all left town, one in the dark of night without telling their employes.
