A somewhat enlarged image can be found at Mr. Melcher’s blog entry (yesterday). Again, it is a cropped image (signature in bottom right of pathway removed). A full image can be found here. Before explaining (Date) isn’t, as far as I can tell, currently shown online by its current-location (Bing translated). It is shown, with a different coloration image, and described, here (Bing translated).A different coloration (watermarked) image can be found here (Bing translated). The artist’s Wikipedia page (Bing translated Russian Wikipedia page has more) and collection.Fifth, of the 5 works, by this artist, that have, so far, appeared in Mr. Melcher’s blog, to also appear here (artist attributed 6 times, but the extra is by his brother).P.S. If you have a Windows PC (I don’t), could you please tell me (no duplicates please) if this is readable? On my Mac, apart from the picture of the artist, what I see is mostly black-diamond-background ?’s, intermixed with a few dates and various punctuations.I think Windows has a different Cyrillic character set than what’s available on a Mac, and I’m just wondering if that might be causing this. The pointed to page is the Bing translated artist bio, pointed to by the first different coloration image here link (Bing translated). That may contain the same information as the Bing translated here link that follows it.

Early Russian attempts at ghillie suits were crude and only moderately camoflaging. In this test a cossack in a forest boulder ghillie suit attempts to deceive a russian peasant woman.
