Val: Where's Max today?
Joan: He's playing at a friend's house.
Joan: I just hope they play outside. It seems like the TV is always on over there.
Val: Oh please...your son's first word was DVD.
Joan: DADDY! He was saying DADDY!
I agree with Joan. It drives me nuts when kids want to watch TV during a play date. That’s not playing! Talk to each other instead! Granted, Max is a little young to play well with others, but he could learn.
I”m surprise Lucy is not crying and scarring off the dragon fly. This generation of mom’s have it easier then what I did 27 years ago we did have what Joan has to carry a baby or toddler with back then.
I thought Max and other kids that age went outside to play with kids toys.
We had a massive electrical storm here in KS we have a bi-level house our daughter lives in the lower level and her computer became fried.

Love the look on lil Lucy’s face as she looks at the dragon fly that landed on her head

TV on a play date? Like a movie on a first date Learn a lot about each other sitting silent.

Yes! It *is* a dragonfly! I wasn’t sure, because it’s pretty small.
There’s always a second story line when Max and/or Luci is in the picture.

Play date? What an odd concept. Don’t kids just play any more, without the date? Must be an American thing.

Ah, thanks for the education. We did that, but didn’t label it as a play date. My kids are 39, 36, and 21 respectively.

Who was he calling ‘Daddy?’ I thought Leon the Lizard left before Max was speaking (maybe before he was even walking?)
