The world probably doesn’t need any more harmonica songs written by amateurs.

Smokestack Lightnin was the only train song anybody ever needed. Didn’t have any harmonica. Just a great voice. Way back when Elvis was good,, Mystery Train was awesome.

Claude needs a “train” song to train Cleo that she’s not really in charge. Good luck at that.

Which part of “Gotta be real quiet” didn’t Claude understand?

“I’m gonna hunt wabbits” or what?

    Howdy all…

    Claude’s being just a bit greedy…

in the May 8th  2020 “CLEO and COMPANY”

trying to sneak all the leftovers… on Sherpa

    http://www.comicssherpa.com/site/feature?uc_comic=cscwy

Do I feel bad for perpetual mooch and slacker Cleo Clifford?

    Heck no…

I just think it isn’t nice of Claude to not share the leftovers with Clara…

who probably brought home more of her dinner than Claude did of his.

And eating it in front of all of us, too.

Good thing it wasn’t me who brought it home…

Just try sneaking my leftover steak some time, Claude….

A basset hound has nothing on me, when it comes to herding steak!

When I was quite young, I think doggy bags were just that…. to bring bones and scraps to your pets.

I remember being surprised when some people brought home food and ate it themselves.

I was taken to a nice restaurant that sent leftovers home in the traditional foil swan… I was charmed…

but it was hard to know what to do with it, afterward…. walking around San Francisco and taking the streetcar and buses, on a car-less date.

Now most restaurants don’t even pretend it’s for the dog…. they offer you containers to keep everything looking nice, not squished in a bag.

I’ve read that it’s still hard to get a one in Europe and Great Britain…

Chefs don’t like you to take home their creations and alter them…. like putting the perfect beef into a sandwich…

and customers and waiters both consider it declassé to ask for your leftovers, like some starving peon.

But there’s a world wide movement to end food waste…. so some are coming around.

Bag rustling is always a cue for the dog. “Turd” just appears at the sound of any bag.

GOOD MORNING BALLARDEERS! Q-Day 56,697! Sunny and 43F today! Woohoo! C’mon Canada keep it up there. Please???

    Ya’ll be safe out there!

It doesn’t need another love song – unless it’s about trains.

Nelson is rocking that 5 o’clock shadow, rail-ridin’ hobo look! He can fake authenticity with the best of them.

You better believe that if I brought home leftover steakhouse food I would want to be the one who eats it. (It’s been many years since we had any 4 legged friends to feed.) Of course MMM doesn’t like steak, so, no problem.
